“Together, ordinary people can achieve extraordinary results.” - Becka Schoettle S.P.A.R.S.H., the I.S.R. wing of Symbiosis Institute of Digital & Telecom Management (SIDTM), Pune in collaboration with Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT), has conducted the new edition of ‘Mapathon’. The ‘Mapathon’ is a great opportunity for volunteers to digitally connect and map the most vulnerable places in the developing world so that local and international non-governmental organizations can use these maps and data to better respond to the crisis affecting these areas. On 6th March, students put combined efforts to mark the unmapped regions in Bhuragaon, Laharighat, Dhing, and Mikirbheta in North East India for a few hours. The event was a great success and got us one step closer to the upliftment of Humanity. Mikko Tamuracoordinated the whole activity we documented our planning meeting here , Sowmya Nayani and Arjun Gangadharan and myself were present for the training day . here is the HOTOSM task for the event the change sets from OSMCHA.org and finally the areas mapped and their results of Mapathon Some pics from the event

While the Tech you see around you are trying very hard to make it easier for you blog than ever before and hiding all the nuances of HTML , Javascript and Ajax at play be-hide the scene it also is trying very hard to hide all the base of the technologies you do not talk about the Linux Operating system in your day to day conversation you talk about being an Amazon web services expert since all that OS complications are being hidden and offered and repackaged to you in a different form , yes docker included. The big loss is the the way web is supposed to work the links go dead ,now i see the links to the Wordcamp 2009 are all gone from the eventbrite website , this reminded me of the articles posted on this site https://www.superhighway98.com/ which talks about how the web was back then and how innocent we the webusers were and how its ruined now https://www.superhighway98.com/seo
