S.P.A.R.S.H., the I.S.R. wing of Symbiosis Institute of Digital & Telecom Management (SIDTM), Pune in collaboration with Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT), has conducted the new edition of 'Mapathon'.
The ‘Mapathon’ is a great opportunity for volunteers to digitally connect and map the most vulnerable places in the developing world so that local and international non-governmental organizations can use these maps and data to better respond to the crisis affecting these areas.
On 6th March, students put combined efforts to mark the unmapped regions in Bhuragaon, Laharighat, Dhing, and Mikirbheta in North East India for a few hours. The event was a great success and got us one step closer to the upliftment of Humanity.
